I’ve wanted gchange to be updated for a new feature.
How much would it cost to update gchange so (when externally linked) the opengraph tags display the substance of the advert instead of a generic/default page title and preview image?
@kimamila
I get an error:
" Oups ! Cette page n’existe pas ou est privée"
(The page doesn’t exist or is private.)
You have access to that page if you have an account.
What type of account is required to access the aforementioned page?
I have an account on the forum (as testmine does) but the link returns me the same message as testmine sees.
Thanks in advance for (further) clarification!
I don’t think it’s possible to do such a thing with the technology used to create Ğchange: AngularJS, which is a client-side technology that crawlers don’t take into account.
That’s what the Share links are for: when you share an advert via the share button, you get the title+description+image of the advert.
You can check this behavior via, for instance, the Meta sharing debugger.
The tradeoff is that the user gets a 2s redirect (which seems acceptable to me, but ofc people who share the link have to know the trick, which is not self-obvious).
